總是被拿來當木吉他代替品, 從來不加任何效果的電吉他…

媽媽說, “像垃圾場撿回來的.”
我說, “這叫 shabby chic!” ;)

(以下敘述純屬事實如有雷同… 那就是真的!)

話說夏日炎炎, 這幾天又洗又刷又組家具的把後走廊佈置的溫馨舒適, 今天晚上終於可以開心的在外面乘涼了!

把所有的家當準備好, 電腦 無線網路 web cam 小貓, 搬到走廊上開心的跟大家聊天講電話順便上上網路. 在外面待了好一會兒, 小貓的心跳終於沒有那麼快了, 耳朵也不會比我的手還熱.

正當我得意我把一房一廳小公寓變成兩房一廳, 想著哪裡要多擺一點植物, 燈上要掛什麼吊飾的時候

怎麼覺得…

聽到…

有人在…

愛愛的聲音咧~~~ -__-|||

事情是這樣子的, 我的走廊在臥室的後面, 是我這一棟公寓唯一面對西邊的臥室… 周圍是樓上的餐廳, 隔壁的餐廳, 還有隔壁樓上的餐廳…

那… 那… 那…

海倫在這時發出智慧之語, “有沒有聽到碗盤打破的聲音啊?”

降子, 我在外面乘涼會不會有點小監介… ~”~

而且…

嗯…

斷斷續續的有超過二十分鐘喔……

我只是想要好好的納個涼而已啊… @@”

自從看到 Justin 的 “普羅旺斯焗烤蔬菜飯” 就一直覺得哪天也要來做一頓優雅的晚餐. (Carrie 你一定要連到上面那個 link 去看看喔… ;)

Don’t come any closer!

You probably can’t see the gray tabby very clearly in the picture, but that’s ’cause I never actually managed to be close enough to him/her.

In fact, this is the first time I am able to take a good look at Ding-dong cat, after “hearing” him/her for a few months. :)

She (hum, I think it’s a she) visits us around 10, 11 pm almost everynight these days, and will just dash away if we open the door.

I think our LC is quite popular in this neighborhood. Every kitty wants to visit her. ;)

鈴鐺貓又出現了!

鈴鐺貓似乎很怕生, 我從來沒能好好的把他/她看清楚. 可能她觀察的夠久了 (嗯, 我覺得應該是個 “她” 吧), 前幾天下午終於讓我湊近到可以拍到不清楚但看出來是隻灰色虎斑貓的照片了… :P

鄰居的貓咪們似乎都很喜歡到我們家的陽台上來拜訪呢. 小貓有這麼受歡迎嘛?

"new" dining room

I know I said that I will blog more about my Alaska trip. That didn’t happen *yet* ’cause I still have so much to do for my home. ~”~

Today, we sort of have the dining room set up; our first “real” dining sets, actually, as some of you might remember that we’ve been using the folding table and chairs for the past who-knows-how-many years…

Now if we can get rid of those boxes sitting in the living room… … …

Turned out that when I don’t have to work, I actually have so much to do and have no time to blog… hum… intriguing…

When I started painting the 2nd wall in my living room yesterday afternoon, my hands and arms were already sore. I was staring at the wall, thinking if the new color’s too yellow, realizing my condo is actully not as small as I thought it is, and suddenly, a thought flashed thru: 貓鎮的黃色小公寓.

My mom always like to say I live in 貓鎮 ever since she knew Los Gatos is a town, not a city. (why is that?) 貓 = cat = gato, 鎮 = town.

Why not make it my Chinese blog title, then… :)

昨天下午粉刷客廳. 連一半的牆都還沒漆好呢, 卻已經累的半死了. 累到盯著牆發呆, 心理卻又一直擔心著, 新挑的顏色看起來好像有點黃過頭了… ~”~

忽然一個標語像跑馬燈似的從腦中閃過: 貓鎮的黃色小公寓

家在 Los Gatos, 是西班牙文複數的 “貓” 的意思. 是因為當初拓荒者剛剛來到這裡時看到很多山貓吧. 不知道為什麼 Los Gatos 的行政單位是 “town”, 而不是一般的 city. 媽媽自從知道了這些事情以後, 就老愛說我住在貓鎮.

那… 就拿來當 blog 的中文名稱吧… 之前還沒特別想過要有中文名呢. 這個靈感閃過的時機對我來說也是滿有紀念意義的, 畢竟也搬進來快兩年了, 現在終於每個空間都漆成我喜歡的顏色了. :) (其實就三個顏色啦…)

Maybe it’s a sign… ;)

Finally!

Somehow I acted like a proud (or just relieved?) mom on ht’s graduation day.

I’ve never been to any commencement in the States before. Now I realize it can be really fun. No wonder it’s such a big deal here. Maybe I should get myself into one so that my parents can relive their lost moment. Hum…
